Maker skills

Every build has a story to share.

Explaining a project helps a young maker connect the idea, the process and the result—not just show the finished robot.

Start with the problem

A useful project explanation begins with what the maker wanted to achieve. Describe the goal in everyday words, then show how the build responds to it. A sketch or demonstration can make a technical idea easier for someone else to follow.

Share what changed

The first idea and the finished project may look different. Explaining a test, an unexpected result and the adjustment that followed makes that learning visible. Leave room for questions: another person may notice a possibility worth exploring next.
