Pause and compare
Before moving to the next step, compare the build with the instructions. Notice the position of parts, the order of connections and any details that are easy to overlook. A brief pause can turn an assumption into something you can check.
Make questions specific
A question such as ‘Does this connection match the diagram?’ gives a teammate or instructor a clear place to begin. Careful observation and focused questions work together: one helps you notice a detail, and the other helps you understand it.
